Applications to enter the Fonterra Farm Source Activate 2.0 event have been arriving ever since the initiative was first announced last Wednesday. Wharf42 would like to thank its friends at New Zealand’s AgTech Accelerator, Sprout, Callaghan Innovation & NZVIF for helping spread the word. Awesome work guys. Plus of course the amazing team at Fonterra Farm Source who are putting this event together.
For Kiwi AgTech companies yet to enter, the good news is there is still time. Applications close at the end of business tomorrow (Wednesday 15th February).
The application process is simple and straightforward.
First, you need to visit the Activate 2.0 website at www.fonterraactivate.com This lists some of the on-farm challenges identified by the team at Farm Source and Fonterra’s own farmers. They are reaching out to New Zealand’s wider AgTech ecosystem to identify solutions that can potentially meet these challenges.
Secondly, you need to complete the online application form to enter Activate 2.0. You will find this on the Activate 2.0 website. A few minutes of your time today could be a life-changing experience for your AgTech business.
The winner will be selected by a live audience of 400+ Fonterra managers in Wellington on Thursday 16 March. The finalists, selected from the AgTech company applicants, will have a unique opportunity to meet and engage with key members of Fonterra’s Farm Source team. The winner will be invited to work with Farm Source to help build and potentially deploy their solution across Fonterra’s wider farmer ecosystem.
All entrants will have the opportunity to learn more about Agrigate, the new joint venture between Fonterra and the Livestock Improvement Corporation. This data-driven platform is designed to support better and more informed on-farm decision-making by Fonterra and LIC’s dairy farmers. Find out how you might be able to engage directly with this program.
There is however more. The winning business will be invited to join the New Zealand AgTech delegation attending the 2017 Silicon Valley AgTech Immersion Program and Conference in San Francisco from 3 – 6 April.
The winner will also be given a VIP package to attend the Farming2020 event. This is being held during New Zealand’s Techweek17 at the LIC Innovation Farm from 9-11 May. The package will include exhibition space, and the opportunity to meet potential investors, media and leading players in New Zealand’s Agribusiness sector.
To enter, all you must do now is spend a few minutes reading the Activate 2.0 website and then submit your application. You can access that Application Form, right here, right now. Remember: the closing date for applications is COB tomorrow. (Wednesday 15 February).
