Welcome to the 2018 Silicon Valley AgTech Program
For the third year running, Wharf42 is delighted to be co-organising a Silicon Valley AgTech Immersion Program and Conference.
Since the first Program in 2016, we have seen several early stage kiwi agritech companies take the big leap of faith and set up a formal presence in the US. Among them are Biolumic, TracMap, Robotics Plus, Autogrow & GPS-it. Along the way, Wharf42 has enjoyed providing some of the support and networking that has made this possible.
In 2018, we are focused on providing more insights into the region’s vast agtech ecosystem with our partners, Silicon Valley Forum & Callaghan Innovation. This year we are expecting an estimated 30 kiwi agritech companies to join the program. The program runs from 27 – 31 August. We will be visiting agtech innovators, accelerators & investors in San Francisco, San Jose, Fresno & Salinas. What to Expect
Expect to meet a number of AgTech entrepreneurs from around the world. This year, we are hoping to attract over 100 delegates to the Program. This will help kiwi delegates meet and engage with fellow entrepreneurs from across the globe
We are inviting Silicon Valley-based venture firms with an interest in the agritech sector to join us throughout the program. Where possible, we will make introductions to investors that might be of interest to your business
On the final Friday of the Program, we are organising a New Zealand-only day in San Jose. This will focus on opportunities that we have secured for the kiwi delegates and provide introductions to some of our own personal Valley network
